My name is Matthew Beniamino. I am an artist and photographer living and working in Philadelphia. I grew up in a small town in north eastern Pennsylvania called Bushkill, and received my BA in photography from Moravian College in Bethlehem.
For me photography is my job, my passion, and my history. In the past I have worked a lot in the surreal telling stories through my images, and bringing to life things that only lived in my imagination. Throughout my time at Moravian I found a great respect for the history of photography, and the impact it has had on not only my world, but the world as a whole. Because of this my more recent work has consisted of trying to show the history of photography and its place in the modern world.
